Mobile phone theft - Green Lanes and Aldermans Hill in Palmers Green

Please be very aware when walking on Green Lanes, Aldermans Hill and in Broomfield Park with your phone in your hand.

There have been a number of phones snatched from victim's hands by riders and passengers on mopeds in the last month.  Also by electric bike riders who you may not hear coming at speed up to you from in front or behind.

Thieves can be very clever in identifying potential victims and using distraction techniques or threats of violence, but they are also very aware of their surroundings and make a plan on how to steal someone’s phone. We will continue to chase down and arrest those responsible, providing updates when we can. In the meantime, there a number of things you can do to keep yourself safe:
